Corinthians sign Paraguayan for Under-20 side

Corinthians have made another signing for their under-20 side, adding 18-year old Paraguayan holding midfielder Gustavo Viera to Osmar Loss´s young squad.

Viera was signed from Paraguayan team Rubio Nu on the recommendation of former Corinthians star Gamarra. He was already a fixture in the first team there, and came to prominence by captaining the country´s under-20 side at the tender age of 17.

Viera is already familiar with one member of the current Corinthians squad, having played against countryman Angel Romero, who joined the Timao earlier this year. He expressed a desire to renew that acquaintance and make an impact with his new teammates as soon as possible.

"I hope to play well and find a place in the first-team squad quickly", Viera said.

He signe a contract that runs until 2016.
