Renato Augusto made ​​his debut for Corinthians

After entering the field with a black band on the right arm of each player in the victims of the tragedy in Santa Maria´s honor, Corinthians defeated Mirassol by 1-0 on this Sunday (27^th) and had its first victory in the Paulistão. With Romarinho´s goal, the victory has crowned an important achievement of coach Tite of leading Timão in 200 matches.

Right after the first six minutes of the first half, Romarinho opened the score in the opponent´s stadium. With a perfect crossing from Renato Augusto, the striker headed the ball into the net. The Alvinegro was dominating the match and had other few opportunities with Romarinho and Giovanni.

Quiet in the game, the Parque São Jorge´s team was exchanging passes and was waiting for the best time to attack. Zizao and Renato Augusto also had good chances, although they did not scared the opponent´s goalkeeper. Thus, the corinthianos players went to the changing room with a partial 1-0 victory.

Second half

Coming back to the second half, Guilherme perfectly dribbled Mirassol´s defender and almost scored a beautiful goal, although he kicked out. In the 3^rd minute, Danilo Fernandes did a spectacular move after an opponent´s kick and saved Timão from a draw.

After the first minutes really busy, the match has cooled and was played more in the midfield area. Corinthians kept the ball possession, although without threatening the opponent team. Timão was really close to score its second goal in the 19^th minute. Romarinho headed the ball to the goal, although this time the goalkeeper Diego had good reflex and stopped the corinthiano goal.

Mirassol tried to attack few times and was not scaring at all. In the 26^th minute, Adilson Bahia entered into the box area and kicked, but the ball was too high and far from Danilo Fernandes´goal. The first Tite´s substitution was in the 32^nd minute, with Nenê Bonilha replacing Giovanni. Then, Zizao was out and Welder was in.

The duel continued warm and without any other big chances for both teams. The referee gave five minutes to the additional time, which allowed Tite to make his third substitution: Willian Arão replaced Romarinho, the goal´s author. The match remained the same and Timão had its first victory in the Paulista Championship. The next Alvinegro´s duel will be on Wednesday (30^th) at 22h (Brasília time) at Pacaembu Stadium.
